Katsina is regarded as the birthplace of the entire Hausa race of northern Nigeria. Legend has it that Bayagida who killed a snake at the Kusugu well in Daura, married the princess of Daura and he was the progenitor of the Hausa race where all the seven Hausa emirates derived their authority. This tour will fascinate participants with lots of history and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1. City tour of Abuja.

Sightseeing of the city with visits to the three arms Zone, Aso Rock, Sheu Musa Yar’adua centre, cultural Centre and craft village.

Lunch and overnight stay in Abuja.

Depart for Kaduna

Arrive Kaduna for a sightseeing around the city. Visit to important landmarks.

Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria, in the middle of the country. The skyline of the city, which was built largely in the 1980s, is dominated by Aso Rock, an enormous monolith. It rises up behind the Presidential Complex, which houses the residence and offices of the Nigerian president in the Three Arms Zone on the eastern edge of the city. Nearby are the National Assembly and the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Abuja is home to several parks and green areas with the largest one being Millennium Park. Millennium Park was designed by architect Manfredi Nicoletti and was officially opened by the United Kingdom's Queen Elizabeth II (the former Queen of Nigeria) in December 2003. Another open area park is located in Life camp Gwarimpa; near the residence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

The park is located on a slightly raised hilltop which contains sports facilities like Basketball and Badminton courts another park is the city park, it is located in wuse 2 and is home to numerous outdoor and indoor attractions such as a 4D cinema, Astro-turf, lawn tennis court, paintball arena and a variety of restaurants. The National Children's Park and Zoo host a number of animals, and recreation spots.
